According to the dictionary definition, the Keto diet is a popular weight loss method followed around the world. It got a lot of attention when popular names in show business described it as their "secret" to losing weight. Simply put, it's a low-carb, high-fat diet where the body starts burning fat for fuel, instead of glucose.
Simply put, the diet is high in good fats and protein and low in carbs.
It then tells the body to go into ketosis mode. And then it starts burning fat
for energy instead of carbs. According to reports, this diet was ingeniously
designed and engineered to fight epilepsy and related seizure disorders.
After reading this, a question that immediately comes to mind is: does
it seem normal for a normal person to follow this diet, with the goal of losing
fat fast? And the answer is simple, you can. But it is recommended to follow
your doctor's advice if you decide to change your eating habits.
Science behind kotogenic diet
Our body at the cellular level is equipped with mitochondrial organelles
that oxidize carbohydrates to produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate, our energy
currency) for the cell. In the keto diet, we tend to keep the carb infusion
low. Thus, the reduced availability of carbohydrates and increased
mitochondrial uncoupling during nutritional ketosis suggests a decline in ATP
production, at least until compensatory adaptations occur. It's a complex
process and it sounds like something that isn't the most natural way for the
human body to work. In computer language, it is like circumventing the code.
Going through several health forums, one can conclude that in general,
no serious side effects have been observed in those who opt for the Indian Keto Diet.
Although some initially suffered from constipation, mild hypoglycemia and even
indigestion. But in most cases, nothing turned out to be fatal. However, in
some severe cases, doctors believe low-carb diets can lead to kidney stones.
Or, in some cases, there may be high levels of acid in your body (acidosis).
